About the Role

We are seeking an Actuarial Manager, Model Development, to join our Actuarial Modeling team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role supports all phases of the actuarial model development lifecycle, delivering high-quality models for financial reporting, planning, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is a technically strong actuary who enjoys solving complex problems, enhancing modeling capabilities, and modernizing actuarial infrastructure, playing a key role in advancing actuarial architecture and improving modeling processes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance actuarial models supporting Statutory reporting, including Cash Flow Testing and Principle-Based Reserves (PBR)
  • Support models used for Embedded Value, Business Planning, and U.S. GAAP reporting under LDTI
  • Ensure models are accurate, reliable, and aligned with business and reporting objectives
  • Streamline and automate legacy model input and output processes to improve efficiency and controls
  • Develop and implement modeling standards, governance practices, and documentation
  • Enhance the overall user experience and effectiveness of actuarial modeling tools
  • Execute initiatives supporting the company's future-state modeling platform strategy
  • Lead and support model conversion efforts as part of ongoing actuarial modernization initiatives
  • Contribute to projects focused on improving actuarial architecture, scalability, and operational effectiveness
  • Support strategic initiatives including in-force management analysis, actuarial due diligence, regulatory field testing, and model validation
  • Partner with stakeholders to provide modeling insights that inform business and actuarial decision-making
  • Translate technical analyses into actionable recommendations for broader audiences

Requirements

  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
  • 5+ years of actuarial experience in modeling, valuation, or a related actuarial discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills
  • Ability to balance technical execution with strategic thinking
  • Proven ability to independently manage projects and deliver results
