About the Role

As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play a critical role in turning donations into opportunity, supporting your team, serving your community, and building skills that take your career to the next level. You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure daily success while developing your own leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead all aspects of store operations, customer service, production, and team development
  • Step into the Store Manager role when needed, leading by example with professionalism and integrity
  • Execute daily, monthly, and annual operational plans to meet performance and budget goals
  • Train, coach, and develop team members while reinforcing strong service and production standards
  • Create a welcoming, mission-aligned environment for customers, donors, and staff
  • Assist with scheduling and staffing strategies to meet production and sales demands
  • Monitor donation levels and coordinate merchandise needs with the warehouse
  • Build proficiency across all areas of store operations and production
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, safety standards, loss prevention, and company procedures
  • Prepare and review store reports and actively lead and participate in team meetings and huddles
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive tasks (tagging, hanging)
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly

Requirements

  • 1 year of retail management experience preferred
  • A reliable vehicle and valid NYS driver’s license
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven leadership ability and sound judgment
