About the Role

As a Windows Engineering intern, you will collaborate with full-time employees in the IT department to learn how to design, deploy, secure, and maintain automation tools and infrastructure components critical to Jane Street's success. You will work on real-world projects, potentially developing and maintaining tools for Windows automation and configuration management, improving CI/CD systems, or enhancing the efficiency and scalability of tools and monitoring solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Improving CI/CD systems, cross-platform frameworks, and software development environments
  • Improving the efficiency and scalability of tools, services, and monitoring solutions
  • Implementing editor and workflow improvements to streamline coding and deployment workflows across IT

Requirements

  • Strong programmer with high potential and aptitude for learning
  • Experience with .NET languages (C# or F#)
  • Knowledgeable in operating system fundamentals and computer architecture
  • Able to understand network protocols at a basic level
  • Familiar with AI/LLMs and prompt engineering
  • Intellectually curious, collaborative, and eager to learn
  • Humble and unafraid to ask questions and admit mistakes
  • Strong communicator
  • Comfortable at the command line and in a GUI
  • Fluent in English
