About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Azure Infrastructure and Identity Architect to lead complex Microsoft Azure and Identity engagements, building AI Foundations for clients. This senior, client-facing role blends architecture, delivery, and presales, owning the technical shape of multi-workstream deals and setting architectural direction for landing zones and identity foundations.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical sales motions end-to-end, from discovery through deal closure.
- Translate ambiguous client needs into a credible technical approach, phased roadmap, and commercial model.
- Author the technical content of Statements of Work and proposals.
- Build and defend bottom-up estimates, size delivery teams, and identify risk and dependencies.
- Deliver executive-level presentations, demos, and architecture walkthroughs.
- Serve as the lead architect across concurrent Azure engagements, owning end-to-end technical quality.
- Set architectural direction for Azure Landing Zones aligned to CAF and WAF for AI workloads.
- Design and oversee implementation of hub-and-spoke and Virtual WAN network topologies.
- Define the identity foundation, including Microsoft Entra ID tenant design and hybrid identity.
- Shape and lead on-prem to Azure migration programs.
- Implement security and governance measures, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Azure Policy.
- Mentor junior consultants and run internal architecture reviews.
- Contribute to and curate practice IP, such as reference architectures and runbooks.
- Stay current with Azure and Entra roadmaps.
Requirements
- 10+ years in IT infrastructure, with 6+ years designing and delivering on Microsoft Azure using IaC.
- Demonstrable track record as the lead architect on substantial Azure engagements.
- Direct experience in a billable consulting model, including pre-sales contribution and SOW ownership.
- Production experience with Terraform.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Intune / Defender boundaries with Azure infrastructure.
