About the Role

As a vital member of our small, collaborative healthcare team, you will utilize the nursing process to deliver exceptional, safe, and personalized care to both well-patients and those managing chronic or acute health conditions in an office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy, administer routine immunizations and therapeutic injections, run EKGs and Holter monitors, conduct pulmonary function testing, and manage IVs as assigned.
  • Welcome patients and capture vitals (BP, pulse, respiration, height/weight), document medical histories/chief complaints, record LMP dates, and identify medication refill needs.
  • Partner directly with providers to execute medical orders, assist with in-office surgical procedures, coordinate changes to treatment plans, and complete required screenings (pain scales, safety screenings).
  • Maintain meticulous records in the EHR, including all patient assessments, telephone triages, and immediate documentation/reporting of significant changes in acute patient conditions.
  • Manage daily quality control logs (temperatures, QC checks), audit clinical supplies and sample medications for expiration dates, and participate in staff meetings, new hire orientation, and procedure updates.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.
  • Current license and registration to practice practical nursing in New York State.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Infection Control certifications (or obtained at time of hire).
  • Strong understanding of age-specific risk factors, sensory perceptions, motor functions, and medication impacts across our patient population.
  • Strong hands-on clinical skills (Phlebotomy, EKG, and injections).
  • Ability to communicate calmly with patients, families, and providers, even in stressful situations.
  • Highly organized, maintain absolute clinical accuracy, and thrive in an efficient office environment.
  • Committed to professional self-development and staying current with modern nursing practices.
