About the Role

As a Portfolio Manager (f/m/d) at GovTech Deutschland, you will support the digital transformation of public administration. You will understand the requirements of our administrative stakeholders and develop reusable solutions using the latest technological applications to create tangible added value for the state and administration. You will be responsible for the content management and strategic development of our product and project portfolio, maintaining an overview of ongoing projects, prioritizing new initiatives, and actively shaping the content direction of our offerings.

Responsibilities

Overall and systematic management of the entire GovTech Deutschland solution and product portfolio.
Strategic development of the overall portfolio with the involvement of internal and external partners.
Opportunistic evaluation and assessment of ideas, initiatives, and projects with potential for scaling or realignment.
Management and prioritization of existing and new portfolio elements.
Coordination with project managers and operational teams regarding status, resources, and effectiveness.
Preparation of portfolio data, decision-making bases, and impact criteria.
Product and portfolio communication, including clear presentation of complex content for internal and external target groups.
Close collaboration with the executive board for the alignment and further development of the GovTech landscape.

Requirements

Excellent degree, preferably in economics, natural sciences, engineering/information science, ideally with a focus on technology, public management, or innovation.
Very good understanding of strategic product and portfolio management in the public or technology-related environment – ideally with several years of practical experience.
Strong analytical skills to structure, prioritize, and communicate complex content.
Experience working with interdisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groups.
User-centric, structured, and impact-oriented approach to work.
Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
