As a Cook at Point Place Casino Hotel, you’ll prepare and cook menu items, follow food safety standards, and support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality dishes. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items.
- Follow food safety standards.
- Support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality dishes.
- Produce food orders in a timely, neat and organized manner according to the needs of the guest.
- Follow all approved recipes while ensuring proper cooking techniques and the highest quality standards are upheld.
- Apply sanitation procedures thoroughly.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are always followed.
- Properly use kitchen equipment while ensuring the highest safety standards.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma is required.
- An Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred.
- Basic reading, writing, mathematical, and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends.
- Ability to operate a steamer, fryer, oven, etc.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 71 - 80 pounds.
