About the Role

WEIS is seeking associates who are passionate about teamwork, associate growth, and community involvement, offering respect, understanding, and appreciation.

Responsibilities

• Keep the produce department well-stocked and appealing.
• Greet customers, answer questions, handle special requests, and resolve concerns.
• Unpack, clean, trim, and stock merchandise, ensuring saleable condition and proper pricing.
• Maintain salad bar and cut fruits/vegetables.
• Assist in building attractive displays.
• Complete product logs accurately.
• Handle spoiled, damaged, new, and discontinued products according to company policy.
• Maintain general sanitation in the department, adhering to cleaning schedules and health/OSHA requirements.
• Dispose of trash properly.
• Minimize shrink and control damages; report shortages and overages.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries (training provided).
• Assist with baling cardboard (training provided).
• Cooperate with co-workers and superiors for smooth department and store function.
• Continuously improve job performance.
• Utilize all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without accommodation.
• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.
