About the Role

Southern Cross has immediate openings for Meter Technicians (Gas/RTU) in Tarrytown, NY and surrounding areas. This role involves replacing gas modules, driving daily within assigned geographic areas, and accurately processing required data while meeting completion dates. Comprehensive training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily assigned tasks for safety, quality, and efficiency to exceed customer expectations
• Follow all safety rules, organizational policies, and procedures
• Interact with the public, client’s customers, and client’s personnel professionally, respectfully, and cordially
• Protect, inspect, and maintain assigned equipment and vehicle
• Replacement of gas modules
• Driving daily as required by assigned geographic areas
• Process the required data accurately
• Meet all required completion dates

Requirements

• Pass all Operator Qualification training/testing pertaining to meter work/meter reading to proceed with employment
• High school diploma or GED
• Must have a good driving record and hold a valid driver’s license

Skills

• Technical aptitude
• Computer or Smart Phone literate
• Able to read maps and navigate congested areas in large cities

Salary/Compensations

• $22 per hour
• $0.50 cent raise after 60 days
• $0.50 cent raise after 180 days
