About the Role
The Science Specialist/PharmD will support the Healthcare and Life Sciences Team in litigation defense, compliance, diligence, and general advisory and regulatory matters. This role requires navigating the intersection of law and science, conducting sophisticated analyses of literature and studies, and drafting and presenting written work product clearly and precisely within a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Ongoing monitoring and review of clinical and laboratory studies, and scientific literature relating to a myriad of industries, products and therapies.
- Analysis of statistical data.
- Identification of expert witnesses and related diligence.
- Preparation of experts for testimony.
- Collaboration on expert reports.
- Interfacing with consultants.
- Litigation support on product liability, health effects and other litigation.
- Developing historical chronologies and data.
- Organizing and analyzing client documents and information.
- Drafting responses to discovery or other requests for information pertaining to applicable science.
- Scientific research.
- Drafting or contributing to the publication of relevant articles.
- Drafting reports, outlines, chronologies, analyses, presentations, position papers, and other documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Some experience in the legal industry preferred but not required.
