About the Role

As a Cook at YBR Casino & Sports Book, you’ll prepare and cook menu items, follow food safety standards, and support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality dishes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks menu items.
• Follows food safety standards.
• Supports the kitchen team in delivering high-quality dishes.
• Demonstrates the ability to produce food orders in a timely, neat and organized manner according to the needs of the guest.
• Follows all approved recipes while ensuring proper cooking techniques and the highest quality standards are upheld.
• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of sanitation procedures and consistently applies such.
• Ensures that proper food handling procedures are always followed.
• Demonstrates the ability to properly use kitchen equipment while ensuring the highest safety standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma required.
• Basic reading, writing, mathematical, and verbal communication skills in English to interpret schedules and menus, complete forms, perform measurements, and interact effectively with guests and co-workers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends.
• Ability to operate a steamer, fryer, oven, etc.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 71 - 80 pounds.
