About the Role

As an Armed Security Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and communication. This role requires an Armed Guard Card or License and a California Weapons Permit with 9mm caliber endorsement. Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Perform armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access control points, verify authorization as required, and report access-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation while maintaining awareness of changing conditions throughout the location.

Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Possess a California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
