About the Role
As a Laundry Aide, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the laundry operations, ensuring that linens, clothing, and other items are cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, cleanliness, and well-being of our residents. Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, clothing, and other items according to established procedures and schedules
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, including washers, dryers, and folding machines
- Inspect items for stains, tears, or damage, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and request replenishment as needed
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate attitude and dedication to providing quality care to residents
