About the Role
Join our team of highly-skilled clinicians providing specialized nursing care in our 25-bed Medical Stepdown Unit. This role involves caring for critically-ill patients, including ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, and administration of vasoactive medications. Practice the art and science of evidence-based nursing and lead the charge in improving the patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Care for critically-ill patients in a 25-bed Medical Stepdown Unit.
- Provide specialized nursing care, including ventilator management.
- Perform cardiac monitoring.
- Administer vasoactive medications.
- Improve the patient care experience.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of RN experience in acute care.
- 1 year of RN stepdown/telemetry experience.
- ACLS certification.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Current NYS RN licensure (or willingness to obtain).
- BCLS certification.
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
