About the Role
Responsible for the global delivery and oversight of all technical implementation services. This role manages practice managers and their teams, ensuring successful implementation of the Charles River Investment Management Solution. The position also involves working with sales leadership to develop business by positioning and selling services to new and existing customers, interfacing with clients and internal divisions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee staff including technical practice managers, senior implementation managers, implementation managers, and consultants on client projects.
- Hire, mentor, train, and motivate staff.
- Ensure effective staffing and utilization of team personnel.
- Achieve Technical Implementation Services group revenue goals and utilization targets.
- Complete regular technical project reviews, including implementation status and issue resolution.
- Work hands-on with clients to ensure successful, on-schedule, on-budget projects and high client satisfaction.
- Maintain ultimate responsibility for the technical delivery of each implementation.
- Serve as a liaison to Sales, R&D, and other departments to share expertise, escalate issues, and resolve problems.
- Continuously improve implementation practices and procedures (estimating, scoping, QA, methodologies) for cost-effective deployments.
- Set technical direction for implementation projects, including AI adoption.
- Ensure staff adherence to policies and procedures.
- Participate in the sales process by presenting methodology, responding to design questions, and preparing estimates, assumption documents, and SOWs.
- Compose and conduct staff reviews, assessing personnel for compensation and promotion.
- Maintain 20-30% utilization through management activities like project reviews and specialized support.
- Review and approve expenses and time entries.
- Lead bi-weekly team meetings, project reviews, and account reviews.
Requirements
- Experience implementing financial systems and delivering multi-tier financial applications.
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients and building senior-level relationships.
- Proven experience managing a team of 10+ consultants.
- Ability to apply priorities and match staff ability to customer requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
- Ability to develop and manage cross-functional processes and project timelines.
- Understanding of the implementation lifecycle and methodologies.
- Proven ability to recommend and apply industry and technical best practices.
- Strong contributor with high motivation, initiative, and ability to perform tasks with minimal guidance.
- Specific knowledge of the investment industry (financial instruments, workflows, major players, trends, etc.).
- Strong management background; ability to work tactically and strategically.
- Ensure projects are successfully completed – properly, on time, on budget.
- Maintain high client satisfaction and retention.
- Ensure team is well trained and mentored.
- Adhere to Company’s and group’s and Policies and Procedures.
- Contribute to department revenue targets and strategic initiatives.
