About the Role

The Assistant Superintendent will contribute and participate in daily administrative tasks and maintenance for our multi-residential properties.

Responsibilities

  • 24-hour on-call emergency response coverage on a rotation basis
  • Perform administrative duties
  • Coordinate month-end duties and responsibilities, including pre-inspection & turnover of vacant suites
  • Ensure resident issues and service requests are addressed within 24-hours (minor repairs and maintenance tasks)
  • Accompany vendors and contractors during work completion and report progress to the management office team
  • Complete maintenance tasks such as clogged sinks, lighting replacement and repair, toilets, or flood clean up
  • Maintain operations records, files, and documentation accurately and timely
  • Consistently maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Seek ways to exceed service expectations of residents
  • Perform cleaning duties as assigned by the Property Manager or designate

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience, an apprenticeship, or a combination thereof
  • Superior ability to develop and sustain cooperating working relationships with team members, contractors, the public, and residents
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally in English, both orally and in writing
  • High degree of diplomacy, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Awareness of Occupational Health and Safety and WHMIS management practices
  • Basic understanding of all applicable laws, legislation, and rights concerning resident/landlord relations
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and manage tight deadlines
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Subject to a criminal background check
  • Ability to communicate effectively using a smart phone
  • Ability to work and live on-site, showcasing strong teamwork and collaboration skills
