About the Role

Join Park Property Management as a Superintendent, where you will help create a vibrant living environment by supporting day-to-day operations through preventative and responsive maintenance, coordinating repairs, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to health and safety initiatives to deliver an outstanding resident experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour on-call emergency response coverage on a rotation basis.
  • Perform administrative duties.
  • Coordinate month-end duties and responsibilities, including pre-inspection and turnover of vacant suites.
  • Address resident issues and service requests within 24 hours for minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Accompany vendors and contractors during work, reporting progress to the management office team.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the emergency operation of electrical, elevator, boiler, fire panel and safety systems, mechanical systems, emergency generator, sprinkler and timer systems.
  • Complete maintenance tasks such as fixing clogged sinks, replacing and repairing lighting, and handling toilet issues or flood clean-up.
  • Maintain accurate and timely operations records, files, and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Consistently maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Seek opportunities to exceed resident service expectations.
  • Perform cleaning duties as assigned by the Property Manager or designate.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience, an apprenticeship, or a combination thereof.
  • Superior ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with team members, contractors, the public, and residents.
  • Effective and professional communication in English, both oral and written.
  • High degree of diplomacy, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Related hands-on experience with Multi-Residential Property Management with a strong service ethic commitment.
  • Awareness of Occupational Health and Safety and WHMIS management practices.
  • Basic understanding of all applicable laws, legislation, and rights concerning resident/landlord relations.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and manage tight deadlines.
  • Eligible to work in Canada and subject to a criminal background check.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using a smart phone.
  • Ability to work and live on-site, showcasing strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
