About the Role
SAIC is seeking an experienced, Part-time Air Traffic Control Instructor-II to join the SAIC Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at the New York ARTCC (ZNY) in Ronkonkoma, NY. This role supports air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), requiring strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems, and procedures. The instructor will deliver high-quality classroom and simulation laboratory training to developmental air traffic controllers and Certified Professional Controllers (CPC).
Responsibilities
- Provide mentoring for students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO).
- Participate in curriculum design and development.
- Deliver classroom and/or simulation laboratory training.
- Ensure students are trained and prepared to become fully certified air traffic controllers.
Requirements
- Demonstrate strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems, and procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills applicable for obtaining radar and/or non-radar simulation laboratory certifications at FAA air traffic control facilities within the U.S. National Airspace System.
