About the Role
Prosperity Partners is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Audit Associate with 4-8 years of experience to support our rapidly growing audit practice. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a high-level professional services firm with significant growth potential.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of audit assignments in accordance with firm policies and relevant regulations.
- Perform and supervise fieldwork, including testing of internal controls, substantive testing, and documentation of audit findings.
- Prepare and review working papers and financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in identifying and resolving accounting, auditing, and reporting issues.
- Collaborate with clients and engagement teams to identify areas for improvement in processes and internal controls.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to Audit Associates and interns.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and discuss audit findings.
- Stay current with accounting and auditing standards, as well as industry trends.
- Support the preparation and presentation of audit reports and recommendations to management and senior client personnel.
- Contribute to the firm’s commitment to high-quality client service and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification preferred.
- 4–8 years of public accounting audit experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards.
- Experience working with the financial services industry, more specifically broker-dealers, investment partnerships/hedge funds and private equity funds.
- Experience with Quality of Earnings reporting is a plus.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with audit software and data analysis tools preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements, priorities, and deadlines.
- Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff preferred.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Availability to work in the office at least 2 days per week.
