About the Role

Assembles medical devices consisting of assemblies and subassemblies containing plastic and machined components using various handheld and power equipment to blueprint specifications. Performs leak testing and troubleshooting of assemblies and subassemblies.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of raw materials and/or production assemblies to meet quality standards.
• Utilize blueprints to set up each build according to work orders.
• Perform assembly of components that consist of machined and purchased parts.
• Perform leak and assembly tests per work instructions.
• Perform troubleshooting when assemblies do not pass testing and communicate with engineering when necessary.
• Verify assembly is in compliance with quality standards prior to submitting to quality assurance.
• Comply with all FDA and ISO9001, and ISO 13485 guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and sustain process improvements.
• Actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Execute Engineering Work Requests and special sample requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to perform assembly and subassemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tubing diagrams.
• Proficiency in utilizing hand and power tools to perform assemblies.
• Attention to detail and ability to interpret and follow written instructions.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of FDA and ISO9001, and ISO 13485 guidelines.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs. maximum.
• Must have the dexterity to efficiently work with small parts.
• Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, reach, pull, push, and engage in repetitive physical movement.
