About the Role

The energy market is undergoing significant transformation. We are making energy management intelligent and are experiencing rapid growth. As our client base expands, so does the volume of documents, payments, and reconciliations. We aim to automate a substantial portion of our accounting processes, allowing our team to focus on complex cases, closing procedures, and quality assurance. Document recognition, account assignment, payment allocation, and dunning are key areas for development in the coming months. We are seeking an individual with strong accounting expertise who is eager to leverage AI and automation to streamline repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

Manage ongoing financial accounting in DATEV, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Review, post, and reconcile invoices.
Oversee open items, payment transactions, and dunning processes.
Collaborate with our tax advisor on monthly and annual financial statements, gradually taking over specific areas.
Improve processes by automating recurring tasks using clear rules, automation, and AI, from document capture to reconciliation between the billing system and accounting.
Work closely with Operations, Customer Support, and Data teams to address accounting issues.

Requirements

Solid accounting foundation: completed commercial apprenticeship or a degree in economics.
Approximately two to four years of relevant experience.
Proficient in using DATEV.
Meticulous attention to detail, understanding of the document principle, GoBD compliance, and thorough documentation.
Proactive in identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Process-oriented mindset with a focus on automation for recurring tasks.
Curious and critical approach to working with AI (Claude).
Demonstrated ownership, reliability, and structured work approach.
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments (Operations, Customer Support, Controlling, BI).
German language proficiency at C1 level.
English language proficiency for internal communication.
