About the Role

The Marketing Analytics and Effectiveness Associate will help protect and elevate the reputation of Goldman Sachs by combining marketing strategy, data and analytics, and emerging technology to improve how we measure, analyze, and make decisions. The team is responsible for building a culture of measurement that drives performance across the marketing organization. This role is central to establishing and reinforcing that culture, embedding data and insight into how we execute our strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze marketing campaign and audience performance, identify patterns and opportunities, and turn complex data into sharp strategic insights and clear recommendations.
  • Experiment with AI, automation, and other emerging capabilities, rapidly testing where they can create meaningful business value and translating successful experiments into scalable solutions.
  • Design, build, and deliver automated, AI-enabled dashboards and reporting solutions that bring together disparate data sources, surface insights and trends, and reduce manual analysis. Continuously identify opportunities to make reporting more intelligent, digestible, and actionable.
  • Work closely with strategy, paid media, web, social, design, and external partners to develop and scale new capabilities, while building and maintaining trust among partners.
  • Take ownership, move quickly, and maintain an exceptionally high bar for quality and attention to detail — from initial thinking through final delivery.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing analytics, measurement, strategy, data/analytics consulting, marketing technology or a related field.
  • Exceptional analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with an instinct for getting to the underlying question rather than simply reporting the data.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI and emerging technology, demonstrated through hands-on experimentation, curiosity and a desire to continuously learn.
  • Experience evaluating paid media measurement, web and digital analytics, SEO/AI search, social listening, brand lift studies or quantitative research and survey methodologies.
  • Experience using measurement platforms (e.g. DCM, SA360, Adobe, Google Analytics, Vivvix Media Radar, Sprinklr, BrightEdge, etc.).
  • Technical fluency or willingness to learn SQL, Python, BI/visualization platforms, APIs and/or AI/LLM tools; deep engineering expertise is not required.
  • Strong client service instincts and the ability to build credibility and productive relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complicated ideas and topics into clear insights and takeaways.
  • Strong ownership mentality, unmatched work ethic, and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
