About the Role

The Shredding Technician is responsible for providing industry-leading service to clients by aiding Drivers and Lead Drivers with document destruction needs. This role is integral to maintaining goodwill and building trust with clients, acting as the face of WM Healthcare Solutions (WMHS) and upholding company policies, standards, and values.

Responsibilities

  • Operates company equipment safely and efficiently to minimize risk of injury and equipment damage.
  • Maintains high security when emptying consoles, ensuring all documents are retrieved, bags are placed, and consoles are securely locked.
  • Services customer locations with minimal interruption to their business using a hand-held device.
  • Transports documents at client locations to a centralized area for destruction.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working area.
  • Conducts daily check-ins with the Transportation Supervisor/Manager to review service completion and efficiencies.
  • Understands and implements all Corporate and Document Management division policies and procedures impacting job responsibilities.
  • Follows all safety requirements as outlined in corporate policies.
  • Maintains a responsible approach to all security and safety matters related to operations, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Handles and responds to customer problems and inquiries promptly and in the best interest of both the customer and the company.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with account contacts and decision-makers to ensure contract renewals and prevent lost business.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork accurately as required by company policy.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
  • 1 year of Picking/Packing Experience, Customer Service Experience, or Equivalent (Preferred)
  • Must be able to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for air travel or federal property access.
