About the Role

Join a brand new, boutique nursery opening in Barnes in January 2027. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a founding team, helping to establish a calm, attachment-informed setting from day one. The nursery is designed to foster strong relationships and child-led learning environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day care and supervision of children aged nine months to five years.
  • Help prepare and tidy learning spaces and resources.
  • Assist in creating a calm, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports children's play, learning, and development.
  • Build positive, responsive relationships with children.
  • Assist with daily routines including mealtimes, sleep, and personal care.
  • Follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • A genuine love of working with young children.
  • A warm, patient, and emotionally attuned manner.
  • Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player.
  • Comfortable helping a brand new setting find its feet.
  • Highly fluent English speaker with good communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years is desirable.
