About the Role

The CNBC International Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive operational HR support across the CNBC International business, partnering with business managers on the employee lifecycle and leading projects. The role aims to deliver excellent, efficient, and customer-focused HR support at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update HR systems (SAP, MyMobility, Workday, E-days) and other HR technology for new hires, leavers, merit increases, employment changes, and leaves.
  • Assist and support in the leavers process.
  • Work with the Reward team to obtain accurate benchmarking information and agree on solutions for headcount requests.
  • Update Global Mobility on changes to passport documentation and company-sponsored visas, ensuring immigration procedures are followed.
  • Support employees and the HR community in self-serving using HR technology.
  • Input monthly payroll changes into HR Systems and payroll excel sheets, working closely with Payroll for accurate processing.
  • Run monthly payroll reports.
  • Administer employee benefits.
  • Ensure accurate job descriptions are available, roles are benchmarked, and business approval is in place.
  • Guide Hiring Managers through the recruitment and selection process, including occasional competency-based interviews.
  • Ensure candidates have a consistent onboarding experience.
  • Manage employee background checks, ensuring completion and recording on HRIS.
  • Prepare contracts and amendment letters for staff; ensure induction pack and offer letter materials are current; create new employee HR files.
  • Create employees’ accounts in HRIS database and issue SSO numbers for access requests.
  • Own the relationship with Handle (or relevant provider) for compliant engagement of freelancers.
  • Act as the first line of support for HR queries and provide detailed support for straightforward employee relations cases.
  • Organize and maintain the filing system for current staff and leavers.
  • Provide support on external queries such as mortgage and employee reference requests.
  • Provide operational support for restructure and redundancies processes, including HR partnering in consultation meetings and execution of settlement agreements.
  • Serve as the key contact for maternity/paternity employees, ensuring the process is followed.
  • Support the HR team in driving initiatives like performance management, succession planning, annual surveys, and employee communications.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for CNBC and Versant development offerings.
  • Use HR technology to provide reports and data to HR and business leaders.
  • Work closely with the HR team in APAC to ensure a consistent approach across CNBC International.
  • Actively participate in and lead HR projects and process improvements.
  • Complete government surveys where necessary.
  • Check and process HR invoices.

Requirements

  • Solid experience across the HR generalist spectrum.
  • Experience of managing employee relations activity independently.
  • Proven operational HR experience with a good working knowledge of HR practices and procedures, preferably within a large, matrix organisation.
  • Significant experience of undertaking transactional HR administrative work, including data entry into HR systems and creating paperwork where attention to detail is essential.
  • Working knowledge and experience in SAP and payroll input with an ability to produce and analyse reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess internal practices and implement new approaches to improve department efficiency.
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to be discreet and professional when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and open style with the ability to navigate through a complex matrix organisation spread across numerous International territories.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Possess a solution-oriented mind-set with the ability to deliver on potentially complex matters in a timely and efficient way.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to be a proactive communicator and self-starter is key.
  • Professional and calm manner.
