About the Role
This trainee position offers an excellent opportunity to learn the automotive industry, build a career, and grow into a commission-based role within a fast-paced Parts Department. The role involves supporting technicians and customers with parts needs.
Responsibilities
- Receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping parts
- Assisting with packing and unpacking inventory
- Responding quickly to technicians’ parts requests
- Researching and locating products for customers and service staff
- Running inventory reports to help maintain accurate stock levels
- Professional handling of phones and counter sales
- Effectively communicating with employees, customers, managers, vendors, and the public
- Performing warehouse duties
- Performing possible porter duties, including helping move vehicles or supporting dealership operations
Requirements
- Ability to identify issues quickly and problem-solve
- Basic knowledge of automobiles or strong willingness to learn
- Ability to learn new technology, systems, and automotive procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
- Positive, friendly attitude and commitment to customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with a professional appearance and strong work ethic
- Auto parts or customer service experience preferred
