About the Role

RMWBH is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to work in our Property Owners Association department. This position requires performing legal research, fact investigation, and preparation of legal documents, including demand letters, association governing documents, opinions, petitions, and motions. The role also involves attending hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and review pleadings, motions, and discovery related to deed restriction enforcement, collection litigation, counseling, and transactional matters.
  • Manage a high-volume pre-litigation and litigation docket.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
  • Engage in client interaction and development.
  • Coordinate workflow and supervise paralegals.
  • Collaborate with POA Shareholders, Associate attorneys, and staff in other firm offices as needed.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate litigation, property owners association law, deed restriction, and/or lien enforcement matters is preferred.
  • Proficiency in both litigation and transactional legal work is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for analyzing complex legal issues and developing innovative solutions.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Effectively manage caseloads, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively take ownership of legal matters and show a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Apply strategic thought processes to legal cases.
  • Understand the broader business context and offer aligned legal advice.
