About the Role
This critical position supports the Airport Department by administering Federal and State grants, assisting airport clients with capital development projects. Join our team and be at the forefront of airport development!
Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between Airport Department Project Managers, clients, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT)
- Prepare, submit, and monitor federal and state grant application packages
- Prepare/administer consultant and subconsultant agreements
- Review invoices and submit to airport clients
- Prepare, submit, and monitor federal payment requests, including federal financial annual reporting
- Maintain client grant/financial records including project costs and submission to FAA and NYSDOT
- Create/update Disadvantages Business Enterprise (DBE) programs and annual reports
- Compile and prepare necessary documents to close out grants
- Research FAA and NYSDOT procedures/regulations for compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in business administration, contract management, and/or finance a plus
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to organize and prioritize
- Strong analytic skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates critical thinking
- Commitment to client service – support both internal and external clients preferred
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative team-oriented professional
- Intermediate/Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Limited travel may be required
- May be required to lift up to 15 pounds.
