About the Role

Join a team as a self-motivated technical consultant with experience in data integration projects, preferably in the Finance Accounting sector. You will work on software implementation projects, providing technical oversight for the integration of Aptitude products into client environments. Responsibilities include data integration for Aptitude applications, ensuring correct software configuration, and identifying/reporting risks.

Responsibilities

Provide technical oversight to ensure the successful integration of Aptitude products into the client environment.
Work on data integration required to ingest or extract data from Aptitude applications.
Ensure software is configured correctly in accordance with client requirements.
Support on-premise installations.
Identify and report risks to senior colleagues.
Take ownership of complex technical challenges and make sound technical decisions.
Represent Aptitude Software, sometimes as the sole representative.
Gain a full understanding of assigned project streams.
Assess, report, and recommend risk mitigation.
Perform Aptitude Software product installation and upgrades.
Perform and guide colleagues according to best practice.
Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to technical development staff.
Provide documentation in the form of detail designs, configuration guides, and operational runbooks.
Develop into a capable practitioner of Aptitude products and build broad knowledge of the product suite.
Manage source code.
Perform automated build and testing.
Allocate development tasks in an agile setting.
Investigate and resolve defects using an evidence-based approach.
Develop effective unit-test strategies to minimize defect occurrences.

Requirements

Experience working on data integration projects, preferably within the Finance Accounting sector.
Experience working on a variety of software implementation projects within a team environment with client visibility.
Good communication skills.
Oral and written ability to represent Aptitude Software.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, business related discipline or similar.
At least 5-7 years’ experience.
Demonstrate an understanding of RDBMS concepts.
Evolving knowledge of the fundamentals of developing database-centric applications.
Demonstrate practical experience in ETL/data integration and REST API development.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud architecture.
Demonstrate practical experience of cloud infrastructure, storage, databases and networking services.
Demonstrate an awareness of data security and privacy principles, including PII, PHI and GDPR.
Demonstrate practical experience of applying appropriate security controls when designing and implementing data integrations and cloud-based solutions.
Demonstrate practical experience of following disciplines: Management of source code, Performing automated build and testing, Allocating development tasks in an agile setting.
Demonstrate practical experience working within a software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Demonstrate an evidence-based approach to investigating & resolving defects.
