About the Role
Rogers Consolidation Finance is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Senior Finance Manager Consolidation. This role requires a strong foundation in data analysis, income statement forecasting, and month-end/results analysis.
Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Finance Manager in managing and resolving initiatives and issues by gathering detailed variance information, performing in-depth analysis, and recommending solutions.
- Prepare monthly reporting KPIs and packages, including commentary on financial results and identification/resolution of unusual trends.
- Develop, implement, and standardize new reports (income statement, KPIs) to provide deeper insights into financial performance.
- Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
- Liaise with internal teams for information and serve as a point of contact for accounting, business, and other finance teams.
- Proactively identify value-added reporting, analysis, and areas of focus for risks and opportunities.
- Prepare weekly RCI outlooks for ELT-level review by partnering with BU Finance teams to understand risks and opportunities, consolidating inputs, and summarizing key changes and drivers.
- Provide ad hoc support and analysis as needed.
Requirements
- University Degree and accounting/finance designation (MBA/CPA/CMA/CGA/CA/CFA) is required.
- Strong financial background with 3-5 years of progressive experience within finance.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to analyze details and understand the big picture.
- Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and modeling skills.
- Strong business acumen and Telecom industry knowledge/experience is an asset.
- A strong track record of handling multiple assignments simultaneously and prioritizing tasks with a focus on quality and details.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for effective interaction with all levels of company management and personnel.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Financials and Essbase is an asset.
- Must clear a criminal background check.
- A credit check and drivers abstract may be required depending on the role.
