About the Role
BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) is a process that improves the customer shopping experience by utilizing all retail locations' inventory to quickly find and ship products. The BOSS Fulfillment Outfitter will fill BOSS orders, sort, pick, pack, and load merchandise for shipment, ensuring quality and appearance.
Responsibilities
- Receives, inspects, and fills merchandise orders.
- Sorts and packs merchandise using appropriate containers and applies labels.
- Visually inspects product for quality and presentation.
- Pulls merchandise from stock locations and places it in proper containers.
- Moves merchandise between warehouse locations using material handling equipment or manually.
- Loads and unloads trailers.
- Maintains housekeeping, cleanliness, and follows safety procedures.
- Attends all mandatory training, including new employee orientation, safety, and job skills.
- Assists customers on the sales floor during store hours.
- Communicates issues affecting job function, such as short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supplies.
Requirements
- Familiarity with products sold.
- Ability to follow through on order processing and closing orders in the BOSS system.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and customers.
- Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stand for extended periods.
- Able to operate receiving equipment.
- Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
- Constantly repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
- Occasionally communicate with others to exchange information.
- Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools.
- Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces.
- Occasionally work in low or high temperatures.
- Occasionally work in outdoor elements.
- Occasionally work in noisy environments.
- Light work involving constantly moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed).
