Responsibilities
- Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management, and task prioritization.
- Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, and provide feedback.
- Evaluate and enhance engineering processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Collaborate with business partners, product managers, and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Enforce technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices.
- Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change.
- Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes.
- Deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.
- Define jobs and responsibilities, plan for department's future needs and operations.
- Counsel employees on performance and contribute to employee pay decisions/changes.
- Lead specialists to influence department operations in alignment with strategic and tactical priorities.

Requirements
- Knowledge in designing and developing enterprise solutions using Java.
- Experience with Python and ability to leverage it for solutions.
- Experience with reporting solutions like Power BI and creating user-friendly reporting solutions using structured and unstructured data.
- Experience working with Quantitative Strategies or Indices and relevant product knowledge related to Equity and/or Commodity derivatives.
- Ability to work with database and data stores – Oracle, SQL Server.
- Validated ability to oversee and develop high-performing teams of 4–8 professionals.
- Experience working in a Front Office environment, partnering closely with Trading and Structuring teams.
- Experience with Docker, Cloud technologies, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of KDB.
- Ability to demonstrate risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology skills.
- Ability to demonstrate job-specific technical skills.
