About the Role

Travis Association for the Blind (TAB) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing employment opportunities for individuals who are blind, visually impaired, or deaf-blind. We are committed to fostering economic and personal independence through meaningful employment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with San Diego Contract.
  • Build TL/LTL freight shipments for third-party logistics (3PL Distribution).
  • Coordinate all activities with Supply Lead, Wave Planner, and Warehouse Manager.
  • Verify orders are accurately filled using RF Gun and compare items and quantities of products gathered for shipment with documents and the automated warehouse management system.
  • Ensure shipments are properly packed and identified with shipping information.
  • Prepare, process, and keep records of shipments, e.g., manifest bill of lading.
  • Manage operating supplies and equipment.
  • Prepare periodic activity reports to share information with management.

Requirements

  • Verifiable high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prefer 2 to 3 years of experience in warehouse logistics.
  • Ability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks.
  • Ability to become forklift certified within the company and achieve certification within 30 days.
  • Strong organizational and math skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers, including good working skills with MS Word, MS Excel, email, and the internet.
  • A working knowledge of general warehouse management software will be a plus (current software used is Manhattan Scale).
