About the Role
Blood Cancer United is seeking a Territory Director, Corporate Partnerships to lead the execution of the corporate partnerships strategy and achieve revenue goals within an assigned territory. This role involves strategic leadership of multi-regional and national partnerships, driving new partner acquisition, and expanding existing relationships. The position includes direct supervision of the Corporate Partnerships Director and responsibility for meeting individual revenue goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and own corporate partnership development, collaborating with regional and national cross-functional teams to identify emerging corporate trends for cultivating and closing strategic partnerships.
- Serve as the primary relationship lead for a portfolio of priority corporations, responsible for an identified individual revenue goal.
- Drive revenue growth by securing six+ figure partnerships, ensuring customized solutions and outstanding delivery in collaboration with account teams.
- Provide direct oversight, coaching, and strategic guidance to Director, Corporate Partnerships staff within the assigned Territory.
- Exemplify exceptional external development leadership, embodying the One Blood Cancer United mindset and setting a standard of excellence.
- Provide high-level expertise across all corporate industries to drive revenue generation and strategic partnership development.
- Partner with Vice President and Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships on strategic negotiations, escalations, and enterprise-level partner relationships.
- Build, nurture, and leverage relationships with cross-functional teams and internal/external stakeholders, including senior executives, to identify and optimize value propositions.
- Lead regional teams in identifying, structuring, and closing complex, multi-year, 6+ figure partnerships.
- Engage with external CEOs and senior leaders to explore mutually beneficial collaboration opportunities.
- Provide continuous expertise, guidance, and support to regional teams, aiding in the development and execution of account strategies.
- Represent Blood Cancer United with credibility and professionalism in senior-level internal and external settings.
- Accountable for annual Territory corporate partnerships revenue line within the designated territory.
- Use CRM to manage relationships and maintain forecast integrity.
- Assure a fiscally sound operation, including budget development, reporting, monitoring, and implementation.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Blood Cancer United mission and programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of non-profit corporate partnership experience with a solid track record of interacting with the highest level of corporate leadership and closing significant partnerships.
- Experience at the national level within the nonprofit industry.
- Successful track record of collaborating in a highly matrixed organization.
- Experience in the daily use of a CRM, preferably Salesforce.
- Experience in negotiation and solution-oriented problem solving.
- Excellent use of Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively within a highly matrixed organization.
- Ability to create and maintain trust and rapport both internally and externally.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Proven track record of closing and managing 6+ figure corporate partnerships.
- Experience in creating deep and meaningful prospect pipelines with strategic moves management plans.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and monitoring budgets.
- Experience leading teams to pursue and secure major opportunities through thoughtful account strategy, executive level relationship development, negotiation planning, and portfolio wide thinking.
