About the Role

Join our Client Support Team at Convene and gain valuable experience in hospitality and events, where we create unforgettable moments. This role offers flexible hours and opportunities for career growth within the company.

Responsibilities

• Wash kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and cutlery using dishwashers and sinks.
• Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean according to schedule and company health and safety requirements.
• Assist the chef brigade with general food preparation and basic food service when required.
• Perform general cleaning of all kitchen areas to required standards.
• Ensure all utensils are returned to their respective places after washing.
• Sweep kitchen areas at regular intervals.
• Empty all bins at regular intervals and take rubbish to refuse containers.
• Operate dish machines safely and ensure water is changed regularly.
• Keep the chemical cupboard clean, locked after use, and report any damage.
• Prepare and assist at special functions, which may fall outside normal working hours.
• Help the chef brigade with basic food preparation and service, and any other reasonable tasks.
• Ensure company procedures and statutory requirements for food operations, health & safety, COSHH, and fire are adhered to.
• Maintain personal and general cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Keep all catering areas clean and tidy.
• Report any loss immediately to the Head Chef.
• Deliver first-class customer service at all times.
• Achieve excellent standards of customer care in the catering area.
• Maintain a courteous and professional manner towards clients and colleagues.
• Report client complaints and compliments to the Head Chef immediately.
• Be a proactive team member offering help to others.
• Attend team and venue meetings as required.
• Be available for staff briefings and company events.
• Be available for occasional evening and weekend work.
• Attend training courses as required.
