About the Role

This role supports the Church of England's work in the public sphere, specifically assisting the Archbishops of Canterbury and York on a variety of topics including church-state relations and social justice issues. The position involves policy and research coordination within the Faith and Public Life team, acting as a liaison between the Archbishops and the team, and contributing to parliamentary engagement.

Responsibilities

Conduct research activities that contribute to and coordinate with the wider research activities of FPL's Public Policy team.
Act as a link between the Archbishops and the Faith and Public Life team, ensuring the Archbishops can utilize the team's skills and experience.
Be a full member of the Parliamentary Team, with line management from the Head of Parliamentary Affairs for parliamentary engagement work.
Maintain frequent personal contact with the Archbishops and close working relationships across the team.

Requirements

Experience in policy and research.
Ability to work closely with senior leadership.
Skills in parliamentary engagement.
Experience in inter-religious relations, Anglican Communion links, or Ecumenical relations is beneficial.
Experience in areas such as modern-day slavery, freedom of religion and belief, or social impact investment is beneficial.
