About the Role
Join a brand new, boutique nursery in Barnes as an experienced Room Leader. Help launch a calm, attachment-informed setting from the ground up, leading a team and setting the standard for care. This is a unique opportunity to shape a nursery before it opens, influencing its operations, team development, and core values.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of practitioners, modeling outstanding early years practice and mentoring staff.
- Ensure the room is well-organized and welcoming, monitoring practice quality and driving continuous improvement.
- Lead high-quality teaching through play, planning experiences that reflect each child's interests and developmental needs.
- Act as a key person, building secure relationships with children and families, and supporting emotional wellbeing through responsive practice.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years.
- Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting.
- Previous experience managing and leading a team.
- Confident role-modeling of good practice from day one.
- Highly fluent English speaker with strong communication skills.
- Confident safeguarding knowledge.
- Solid understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Warm, patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
- Comfortable with the challenges of establishing a new setting.

Salary/Compensations
- £39,000-£41,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
