About the Role

AlertMedia is seeking a Senior Product Manager to spearhead the strategy and development of new AI capabilities. This role involves taking products from conception to launch, transforming customer needs into automated solutions, and collaborating with Engineering and Design to rapidly prototype, ship, and scale new offerings. The position is crucial for enhancing how organizations coordinate critical-event response workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deep expertise in customer personas including security, safety, business continuity, IT, and operations leaders.
  • Continuously interview customers and prospects to gather specific problem statements.
  • Maintain a clear view of current problems, future opportunities, and potential new problems to solve.
  • Track industry trends, automation and AI landscape, and competitive field to inform the roadmap.
  • Own the roadmap for new AI capabilities, making decisions on what to build, defer, or decline.
  • Shape product strategy and positioning, building a case for future direction.
  • Balance business objectives, customer needs, and industry trends when sequencing work.
  • Define problem sets and jobs to be done for each initiative.
  • Partner with Engineering and Design to translate customer problems into specifications and milestones.
  • Break large initiatives into releasable increments that provide early customer value.
  • Stay closely involved through delivery, including grooming, scope decisions, testing, and launch readiness.
  • Use AI development and design tools to build working prototypes and test concepts.
  • Treat prototypes as a research method to invalidate weak ideas and sharpen strong ones.
  • Define success metrics before launch, including adoption, time saved, workflow completion, reliability, retention impact, and revenue contribution.
  • Analyze product usage data and customer outcomes post-release to inform future prioritization.
  • Work with Product Marketing to position new capabilities and shape messaging.
  • Equip Sales, Customer Success, and Support teams to effectively sell and support new features.
  • Translate product functionality into practical applications for customer-facing teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product management experience, including end-to-end ownership of a product or major product area.
  • Experience taking a product or major capability from zero to one, including problem definition, concept shaping, and initial customer releases.
  • Prior experience working on agentic and/or AI-native products such as workflow automation, process orchestration, integration platforms, or agentic tooling.
  • A working understanding of how AI and LLM-based capabilities are designed into products.
  • A systems mindset, with a natural ability to think in terms of workflows, dependencies, and process integration.
  • Strong analytical judgment and comfort making decisions with incomplete or conflicting information.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and executive audiences.
  • Comfort with tools like Jira, Confluence, and product analytics software.
  • A collaborative, no-ego approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Resourcefulness and persistence when facing unclear paths.
  • Energetic, empathetic, and earnest with a consistent record of delivering quality work on schedule.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery, APIs, system integrations, and data pipelines.
  • Experience in critical event management, emergency communication, security, safety, or business continuity.
  • Experience with product enablement or go-to-market support.
  • Must have existing authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.
