Responsibilities

• Attend to patients pre-surgery and collect relevant patient information for surgical preparation.
• Verify patient information, including medical history and reason for visit, through patient communication.
• Prepare patients for examination by conducting preliminary physical tests, including taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature.
• Record appropriate patient information in patient charts and/or Salesforce.
• Secure patient information and maintain confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records.
• Counsel patients by relaying physician's orders and addressing questions about surgery.
• Assist in the preparation of charts, pre-admission, and consent forms.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to established standards, procedures, and legal regulations.
• Maintain an inventory of necessary supplies.

Requirements

• High School diploma required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Medical Terminology knowledge preferred.
• Must hold and maintain an active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
