About the Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer I, you will develop innovative solutions, optimize manufacturing processes, and lead initiatives that drive quality, cost efficiency, and productivity in aerospace manufacturing operations. You will troubleshoot challenges, drive continuous improvement, enhance manufacturing capabilities, and mentor early-career engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC turning and milling equipment.
  • Develop and refine manufacturing process plans, specifying sequences, equipment, tooling, and techniques.
  • Design, document, and optimize CNC programs for high-quality, cost-effective production.
  • Serve as a technical liaison with customers to address and resolve issues.
  • Lead tooling design and procurement initiatives.
  • Perform root cause analysis on production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance first-pass yield and reduce downtime.
  • Analyze and recommend new equipment and machinery.
  • Provide technical leadership in continuous improvement programs and mentor junior engineers.
  • Prepare cost estimates for products, tooling, equipment, and processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including process instructions, standard operating procedures, and machine settings.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to early-career engineers.
  • Maintain compliance with quality systems, safety protocols, and operational standards.
  • Lead Kaizen workshops.
  • Operate in a hands-on environment, spending 50%+ of time on the shop floor supporting operators and operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
