About the Role
Austin Print Co. is seeking a dependable, outgoing, and organized Part-Time Retail & Customer Service Associate for its downtown Austin retail location. This role involves operating the storefront, assisting customers with product selection, managing order fulfillment, and collaborating with customer service and production teams.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist walk-in customers
- Help customers select apparel, promotional products, signage, awards, and other custom products
- Handle customer pickups and drop-offs
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Respond to customer emails and inquiries
- Gather information needed to prepare customer orders and quotes
- Create and send custom quotes after training
- Follow up with customers regarding quotes, artwork, proofs, quantities, and order approvals
- Communicate with production and design teams regarding customer requests
- Keep customer orders and next actions updated in the internal system
- Assist the primary customer service team with emails, calls, quotes, and follow-ups
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment
- Open and close the downtown location independently once fully trained
Requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Friendly and comfortable speaking with customers in person, by phone, and through email
- Highly organized and able to keep track of multiple customer requests
- Comfortable working independently
- Able to recognize what needs to be done without constantly waiting for direction
- Comfortable learning quoting and order-management software
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Able to prioritize an in-person customer while keeping track of other pending work
- Previous retail, customer service, sales, print, promotional product, or order-management experience is a plus
