About the Role
Oneida Health is seeking a full-time ED Tech to work a 12-hour day shift in its Hospital Emergency Department. This nursing support position involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of nursing leadership. The ideal candidate will be a team player, capable of working independently while prioritizing patient safety and experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care relevant to the age and developmental level of the patient.
- Identify patient needs and provide care in a team environment.
- Monitor patients for changes in their condition.
- Collect essential patient care information.
- Work within the Clinical Nursing Team to provide essential functions to patient care.
- Maintain neat records and prepare reports in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment for patients and staff in accordance with quality standards.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Interact with patients and families with a customer service attitude.
- Utilize organizational skills for supplies and equipment.
- Remain calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills for electronic records management systems.
