About the Role
The Healthcare Consulting Services Portfolio of the Health Division provides strategic and operational consultancy advice to healthcare clients to improve services outcomes for patients and staff. This role involves supporting the delivery of healthcare infrastructure, estates, digital, and transformation projects by providing strategic, analytical, and programme management expertise. The position contributes to developing innovative, data-driven, and digitally enabled solutions to enhance healthcare outcomes, operational efficiency, and patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver healthcare consultancy support across NHS programmes, projects, and workstreams.
- Support clients in assessing clinical and estate needs, developing strategies, and designing solutions for healthcare services, infrastructure, and estates.
- Undertake strategic analysis and research to support strategic planning, business cases, service transformation, operational improvement, and healthcare investment decisions.
- Engage with clinical, operational, estates, and executive stakeholders to understand requirements, facilitate workshops, and develop practical solutions.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative information to establish baselines, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and produce evidence-based recommendations.
- Develop reports, presentations, business cases (short form, SOC, OBC, FBC), and other client deliverables to a high professional standard.
- Support the planning, management, and delivery of programmes and projects, including governance, risk management, action tracking, stakeholder engagement, and change control.
- Contribute to the development and authoring of healthcare strategies, operating models, service plans, and transformation roadmaps.
- Support organizations in adopting digital, data, and technology-enabled solutions to improve patient, staff, and operational outcomes.
- Apply data-driven approaches to inform decision-making, performance improvement, and service transformation initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business development, bid preparation, and portfolio growth.
Requirements
- Experience working within healthcare environments, ideally supporting NHS or public sector healthcare clients on estates, infrastructure, service transformation, or operational improvement programmes.
- Knowledge of primary care estates, including planning, utilization, condition, compliance, and development of community, primary care, and neighborhood health facilities.
- Experience contributing to the development of healthcare business cases, including strategic case narrative, options appraisal, benefits, risks, affordability, deliverability, and value for money considerations.
- Ability to research, analyze, and synthesize clinical, operational, estate, and financial information to inform robust recommendations and investment decisions.
- Experience supporting or authoring estate strategies, service strategies, delivery plans, transformation roadmaps, or programme-level reports for healthcare organizations.
- Understanding of healthcare policy, planning guidance, and estate requirements, with the ability to translate these into clear, practical, and client-focused outputs.
- Strong written communication skills, with evidence of producing high-quality reports, presentations, and bid or client deliverables for senior stakeholders.
