About the Role

The Bid & Quote Expert will be part of the Pre-sales Team, providing excellent pricing and bid support on opportunities. This role offers the chance to learn many aspects of the bid process and bid strategy, including project cost analysis and competitive pricing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate presales support is given to sales teams to respond to RFQ or tenders from customers timely with optimized quality and pricing proposal while protecting margins.
• Complete bid plan and host all meetings as per Bid & Quote process.
• Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from all stakeholders.
• Coordinate all approvals, reviews, and track discounts requested.
• Analyze and understand project opportunities in terms of customer requirements, timing, costs, risks, features, competition, winning price, and any other area impacting bid content and strategy.
• Collect and analyze business intelligence data relevant for the bids.
• Provide timely response, optimizing project cost, protecting margin, and supporting bid pricing strategy which maximizes the chance to win the deal.
• Conduct Reviews with Management and make bid pricing recommendations.
• Interface with cross-functional departments (Sales, Systems Engineering, Project management, Procurement, Product Group, Finance, legal, etc).
• Generate the opportunity financials and P&L and present them to management for informed bid decisions.

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Economics or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of working experience.
• Experience in project cost analysis and knowledge in competitive pricing.
• Able to work independently with good analytical and judgement skills.
• Team player with strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Attention to detail.
• Fluent in English as a minimum.
• Good Excel and/or Google Sheets knowledge.
