About the Role
Sunnyview Hospital's Neurology Unit is seeking an Information Associate to provide clerical, communication, reception, and supply management services to ensure high-quality care for patients, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Maintain patients' medical records, including organization, updating, copying, scanning, and preparing for discharge.
- Act as a receptionist for the unit, handling calls, assisting visitors, and relaying information.
- Manage unit supplies and equipment, ensuring a neat and orderly environment.
- Order unit supplies through PeopleSoft.
- Support unit functions by maintaining assignment sheets, bulletin boards, and reporting maintenance issues.
- Ensure computer equipment is functioning properly.
- Precept new Information Associates as assigned.
- Complete unit-specific responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required, AAS preferred.
- Minimum of two years' work experience in a health-related area.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of various health insurances.
