About the Role
MLSE is establishing its inaugural Global Partnerships Sales Academy, a 24-month structured development program for ambitious individuals aiming to build a career in sponsorship sales. Participants will learn to identify new business opportunities, build relationships with senior decision-makers, develop integrated sponsorship solutions, and support commercial negotiations across MLSE's diverse portfolio of sports teams, venues, and entertainment properties.
Responsibilities
- Support the Partnership Development team in generating new sponsorship revenue across MLSE's portfolio.
- Identify, research, and qualify prospective corporate partners across a wide range of industries.
- Build and manage prospect lists using CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry databases, and market intelligence.
- Conduct outbound prospecting through email, phone, networking events, and social selling to generate qualified meetings.
- Assist the Partnership Development Team with facilitating partnership development discussions and advancing brands through the pipeline process.
- Monitor industry trends, sponsorship activity, and competitive landscapes to identify new revenue opportunities.
- Assist with preparing customized sponsorship proposals and client presentations.
- Support the development of integrated partnership concepts aligned with prospective partner objectives.
- Coordinate internal resources required to develop commercial proposals.
- Prepare briefing materials for client meetings and sales presentations.
- Participate in prospect meetings, presentations, and networking opportunities.
- Track sales activity, pipeline progression, and business development metrics.
- Assist with proposal follow-up and ongoing sales communications.
- Conduct category and competitive analysis to identify whitespace opportunities.
- Research brands, industries, and emerging market trends to support prospecting strategies.
- Assist in evaluating sponsorship assets and identifying new commercial inventory.
- Develop business cases and sales materials that communicate the value of MLSE partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders throughout the partnership development process, creating advocates for new partnerships and unlocking new opportunities.

- Previous experience in partnerships, sales, partnership marketing, brand marketing, or revenue strategy.
- Experience presenting ideas or delivering presentations.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience using Salesforce or other CRM platforms is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or prospecting tools is considered an asset.
