About the Role
As part of the Product Management team, you will own the analysis and implementation of new initiatives and features for the Technologies department, interacting closely with stakeholders across all Aquis business lines. You will act as a bridge between stakeholders and engineering, ensuring product features align with client/business needs, gathering requirements, planning projects, and documenting solutions.
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements, including comprehensive scoping of stakeholder needs and collaboration with development teams to translate requirements into engineering solutions.
- Manage projects, driving the delivery of product initiatives, defining timelines, and identifying dependencies and risks.
- Engage with and communicate to external and internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, compliance, surveillance, and technical teams, to provide updates and ensure product objectives are met.
- Contribute to the product roadmap in line with Aquis' evolving business priorities.
- Develop and provide comprehensive training materials for internal teams and clients for client onboarding.
- Solve problems with innovative solutions, challenge stakeholders, and determine the most appropriate solutions.
- Propose process, technology, and framework changes to improve implementations.
- Assess risks and identify required actions for mitigation.
- Manage forecasts using tools such as MS Project.
Requirements
- Experience as a business analyst with a demonstrated ability to build requirements for trading technology solutions in electronic traded asset classes, preferably with equity trading.
- Fluency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Proven track record of delivering multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality of work.
- Experience working with engineering teams using Agile/scrum SDLC methodology, translating business requirements into stories and epics.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining clear, comprehensive technical documentation and API specifications.
- Understanding of ultra-low latency distributed computing environments.
- Familiarity with FIX trading protocol and market data systems.
- Understanding of networking (TCP and UDP) and multicast data delivery.
- Understanding of traditional and on-premises physical infrastructure and distributed server architectures running on Linux.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
- Familiarity with creating wireframes, visual representations, and outlining frameworks for GUI development.
- Strong and positive work ethic with the ability to forge lasting relationships at all levels.
- Appetite and ability to learn new skills in the role.
