About the Role

Responsibilities

• Develop a state-of-the-art search engine using Node.js with TypeScript.
• Efficiently manage large data volumes using Google BigQuery and integrate with BI systems and our data platform.
• Build and improve high-traffic APIs, ensuring minimal latency.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, QA experts, and analysts to improve existing features and introduce new ones.
• Contribute innovative ideas and developments in a flat organizational structure with fast decision-making processes.
• Make architectural decisions with the Tech Lead and explore new technologies.
• Investigate the 'why' behind search results and translate insights into actionable technical improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend experience.
• 2+ years of experience building scalable APIs (e.g., with Node.js, Python, or Go).
• Practical and current experience with a strongly typed programming language (e.g., TypeScript).
• Solid know-how in handling SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code, actively focusing on codebase quality.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Accustomed to working in an English-speaking and agile environment.
• Continuously elevate the quality standards of the software being worked on.
