About the Role
The Ice Skate School Assistant Director helps manage and grow the ice skating school, supporting skating programs for all skill levels. This role works closely with instructors and staff to ensure a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience for participants, while also assisting with scheduling, events, staff management, and daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director with daily operations of the ice skate school.
- Help recruit, train, and evaluate instructors and staff.
- Coordinate class schedules, special events, and competitions.
- Ensure safety rules and facility policies are followed.
- Communicate with students, parents, and community partners.
- Assist with budgets, expenses, and program resources.
- Help develop and improve skating programs and lesson plans.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in ice skating instruction, coaching, or program management.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of ice skating safety and facility operations.
- Certification from US Figure Skating, Professional Skaters Association, or a similar organization.
- Experience with budgeting and event planning.
- Experience using scheduling or program management software.
- Experience working with youth sports or recreation programs.
- Ability to speak multiple languages.
