About the Role
The People Coordinator will provide essential administrative support to the People Team, helping to maintain employee records, process HRIS updates, prepare reports, coordinate trainings, and respond to employee questions with professionalism. This role offers hands-on HR experience and a strong foundation for career growth.
Responsibilities
- Process employee data changes in HRIS, including status, position, classification, and personal information updates, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Maintain employee files ensuring records stay current and audit-ready.
- Pull and prepare recurring HR reports and compliance metrics for the HR Director and Generalists.
- Own the employment verification process from request through completion.
- Monitor the HR Freshdesk queue daily, triage and assign tickets, and track trends to flag recurring issues.
- Respond directly to routine employee inquiries with a high level of hospitality and professionalism.
- Answer the HR phone line and monitor the HR voicemail inbox, responding or routing inquiries in a timely manner.
- Administer the learning management system (LMS) including assigning required trainings, maintaining course content and completion records, and troubleshooting employee access issues.
- Support onboarding logistics in partnership with Talent Acquisition and the HR Generalist team.
- Ensure I-9 completion and E-Verify submission for new hires, and support the team's ongoing I-9 audit cadence.
- Process routine benefits administration tasks such as weekly HRIS enrollment pushes and qualifying event changes.
- Provide administrative support on 401(k) processes, escalating compliance-sensitive matters to the HR Director.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of relevant HR or administrative experience.
- Working knowledge of HRIS platforms required.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through on recurring, deadline-driven tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment, and to work independently while collaborating across a cross-functional team.
- Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a hospitality-minded approach to employee interactions.
- Proficient in Google Workspace and general office software.
